Botswana Photo
Safari
Authentic Classical Photographic Safari, the
way our forerunners used to do them. Fully serviced,
sleeping in tents, guests don't need to worry about
anything other then enjoy the vistas and the game
that Botswana as to offer !

With Mobile Tented Safaris, our camp moves to different
locations. On moving days, guests go on an early
game-drive and enjoy a picnic lunch under a shady
tree. Late afternoon they return to a newly set-up
camp in a different location. The advantage of this
is that we can show the guests different areas in
Botswana depending on the season and the migration
of the game. We don't move on a daily basis as we
strongly believe that one must stay in an area for
a while to fully appreciate it.
Cheetah Tracking
Safari

An exclusive opportunity to witness
an African drama like no other. Spend 2 days tracking
cheetah on foot, following them as they live out
their natural lives. Hunt with the worlds fastest
land mammal, hiding as they stalk, keeping low until
they start the final charge.
The day will start shortly before sunrise as we
head out to locate the cheetah. The cheetahs are
fitted with radio transmitters which we use to monitor
the cheetahs position for their own safety/research
purposes. As we approach the cheetahs the radio
signal from their transmitters will become louder
until we are within meters of them. Once we are
within sight of the cheetah we will observe them
as few others have ever done before.
Kruger National
Park
"The Kruger National Park" is one of South Africa's
oldest nature reserves. The brainchild of Paul Kruger
President of the old ZAR, the area between the Crocodile
and Sabie Rivers was set aside in 1898. After the
Anglo-Boer war in 1902 James Stevenson-Hamilton
was appointed as warden of what was known as the
"Sabie Game Reserve". One of his missions
was to evict all hunters and poachers other than
those required for service in the maintenance of
the reserve. For this reason he earned the name
of "Skukuza" which means "He who
sweeps clean". In 1904 the area between Shingwedzi
to the Limpopo River was incorporated giving a total
area of 2 million ha (about 10,000 sq miles). In
1918 the Sabie Reserve was given National status.
On the 31 May 1926 the park was re-named in honour
of the man who's concept and vision started what
as become one of the most famous Game Reserves in
the world.
Today the "The Kruger National
Park" as an exceptionally rich mix of wildlife,
with some 490 species of birds, 147 mammal species
including the BIG 5, 94 different reptile species,
33 types of amphibians and over 200 different kinds
of trees. The Park as 24 main rest camps with a choice
of facilities and accommodation, most of the camps
have shops and restaurants.
"The Kruger National Park" is situated
in the north eastern corner of South Africa, nestled
between the two borders of Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
To the west of the park is the Blyderiver Canyon,
Pilgrims Rest (living museum) gold town, together
with various waterfalls and scenic drives which can
be visited before entering and after leaving the park.
We have tours of 3 to 5 days into
the main Kruger Park as well as the luxury private
camps on the western border, getting there is part
of the enjoyment. You can travel by road through the
scenic route of the upper meander to the Park or if
you prefer direct flights are available into the private
camps.
